Anticipation is a funny thing. It is sometimes good. It is sometimes bad. It can lead to excitement and enthusiasm. It can lead to fear and anxiety. When applied to movies, anticipation – and the subsequent expectations inevitably created – tends to affect how the viewer receives them, for better or for worse.
